I love working with families. Meeting with parents often feels like catching up with old friends, and testing sessions with kids are always a joy. Every evaluation is an opportunity to understand a child more deeply—how they think, learn, and experience the world.

My goal is to make the process feel approachable and supportive from start to finish. I use research-backed tools and the latest technology, always striving to improve my practice. I want children to feel engaged and comfortable, and I want parents to feel heard, valued, and equipped to take the next steps with confidence.

I take a neurodiversity-affirming approach to assessment, highlighting each child’s strengths alongside the areas where they may need support. Hearing from past clients about how my evaluations have made a difference is what keeps me inspired and fuels my commitment to this work.

I’ve always been fascinated by the brain and human behavior, and I love working with children of all ages. My journey started at age 11 when I attended a talk by a well-known neurologist—at that moment, I knew I wanted to be a psychologist.

Having my own practice and providing meaningful support to the community has been a lifelong dream, and I’m so grateful to be living it. Thank you for being a part of it!

I live in Richmond’s West End with my husband, two children, and our Australian Shepherd, Otis. When not in the office, I like to spend time exploring Richmond and the rest of Virginia with my family, trying new restaurants, and cooking.

I believe that every child deserves to be understood and supported as a whole person—not just for their challenges, but for their strengths. In my evaluations, I work closely with families to build a complete picture of a child’s development, learning, and emotional well-being.

I take a strength-based, comprehensive approach, considering all aspects of a child’s growth. My goal is to help parents feel validated, empowered, and equipped with a clear plan for the next steps. I love getting to know the children I work with, building rapport, and making the process as comfortable and positive as possible.

Having spent many years working in schools, I understand how to bridge the gap between evaluations and practical support at school. I’m here to collaborate with families and educators, and to be a resource you can turn to with questions or concerns along the way.

I grew up in Louisiana and North Carolina and have always been drawn to understanding how children learn, grow, and thrive. Early in my career, I saw firsthand how a thoughtful evaluation can open doors for students—providing the right interventions at the right time. That’s what continues to drive my passion for this work.

Today, I live in Richmond’s West End with my husband, our two teenagers, our dog Arthur, and our two cats, Duke and Pearl. When not working, I like to take Arthur for walks and spend time with my family.

I enjoy working with children, their families, and the educators who support them. I believe that better understanding of a child’s overall functioning can support academic, social, behavioral, and emotional success.

Through comprehensive evaluation, a roadmap for treatment planning and intervention is developed to meet each child’s unique strengths and needs. I enjoy applying my experience working in the schools with my expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior to support children and their families.

I have been a school psychologist for over 16 years, supporting school districts in both Virginia and Colorado. I believe in strong schools and communities, and the role they can play in bolstering healthy children and families.

I live in Richmond with my husband, two sons, and two dogs—Dawson is a registered therapy dog and is an excellent addition on days he joins us in the office! When I’m not working, I love spending time with my boys and going to the river.

I have been an educator for over 18 years working in school districts in Central Virginia. I graduated from The College of Charleston and continued my education with a post-graduate education program at The University of Richmond. I then went on to Virginia Commonwealth University to receive a Master’s in Education.

I  have extensive experience using various methods to assist students with reading difficulties, and I’m highly knowledgeable of the elementary math curriculum for Virginia schools. I also have conversational Spanish skills and can support basic communication in Spanish with students and families.

I have enjoyed working with children throughout my career. Almost all areas I have worked or volunteered in have involved supporting, educating and helping children grow. I grew up and live close by with my family.

I have two children and two pups. I enjoy watching my kids’ sports, traveling, and keeping up my reading on Goodreads.
